The ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) Digital Library is the most comprehensive collection of full-text articles and bibliographic records covering the fields of computing and information technology.
Where do I find it?
You can access the ACM Digital Library from the A-Z of library databases or the list of databases grouped by subject and select Computer Science and IT.
This direct link should also work from off campus (you will need to sign in with your Hope username and password).
How to Search
Use the simple or advanced options to search for a topic, keyword or specific article. More detailed instructions are available in the video at the bottom of this post.
Results and More Options
You can choose to filter your results to view videos, software and datasets as well as journal articles and conference proceedings.
You can view articles online or download as a PDF. Selecting to view the ‘highlights’ will show you the abstract, keywords, subject terms and a preview of the full text.
You can create an account in order to save your searches and search results.
Look at the options on the left hand side of the screen to where you can filter results by date, publication type and journal title.
Search by Subject
As an alternative to using the method shown above, you can also choose to search and browse resources by subject. From the ACM Digital Library homepage, if you scroll down you should see the options below.
